The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported through social media about the development of an operation where several people were captured who were selling a well-known brand of paint illegally.
“This morning, the FGR carried out an operation in which several individuals who were engaged in illegally selling a well-known brand of paint were arrested,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
According to FGR investigations, those arrested were engaged in selling paints with the brand’s labels for approximately 2 years, without the corresponding permits and without quality controls.
“The paintings were offered for sale on social media. During the searches carried out jointly with the PNC, we were able to collect vignettes with the brand, records of the victims, cash and other objects related to the case,” the FGR said.
The defendants in this operation include: Cesar Antonio Leiva Ardon, Erick Edgardo Lopez Grande, Silfredo Giovanny Cruz Sanchez, Jose Jesus Rodriguez Flores, Rigoberto Efrain Hernandez, Julio Cesar Perez Lara.
The following are also present: Guillermo Jose Calderon Escobar, Evelio Benitez Jacinto, Juan Carlos Deras Montalvo, Julio Gabriel Bustamante Valencia, Ana del Rosario Valencia Rivera and Lendi Carolina Sipaque Quintanilla.
“The procedure was carried out in the homes of those involved, located in different districts of San Salvador, Chalatenango, La Paz and La Libertad,” added the FGR.
