This is draft decree no. 2.24.706 supplementing decree no. 2.23.1067 of 17 Joumada I 1445 implementing law no. 58.23 relating to the direct social assistance system.

This project is part of the pioneering Royal initiative “A million schoolbags”, which consists of paying additional aid to families benefiting from the direct social assistance scheme, for each new school year, which will reduce the charges and costs of deprived families, indicates a press release from the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, spokesperson for the government.

To this end, the amounts granted to families as part of aid relating to protection against risks related to childhood, concern their children enrolled in primary school, secondary school and qualifying secondary school, enrolled in public schools, up to a limit of six children, continues the same source, noting that these allowances will be paid once, in September of each year.

These amounts were set at 200 dirhams for each child enrolled in primary and secondary school and at 300 dirhams for each child enrolled in the qualifying secondary cycle.
