BOLZANO. Following the recent negotiations on the Inter-sectoral collective agreement (CCI) 2022-24 Provincial President Arno Kompatscher and Provincial Councilor for Personnel Magdalena Amhof have taken the first steps towards implementing the first partial agreement with advance payment this year.

At the initiative of Kompatscher and Amhof, the Third Legislative Commission today (September 16) approved the amendments to the 2024-2026 budget forecast. This means that the Provincial Council can make an additional 30 million euros available for an initial payment of the inflation adjustment.

Following the changes made so far, the 2024 budget had allocated 150 million euros. However, 80 million euros have already been committed for ongoing contractual negotiations in various sectors. With this additional 30 million euros, 100 million euros are now available for a further advance payment on the inflation adjustment. The remaining amount will be paid in spring 2025.

“As the CCI is now close to closing, it is important to include part of the necessary funds already in this year’s budget. In addition, we will provide additional funds in the next budget programming. An adjustment to inflation is urgently needed to adequately compensate for the loss of purchasing power of inter-compartmental area employees and teachers of state-run schools,” explained President Kompatscher. Council Member Amhof also emphasized the need to offer employees adequate wages in order to remain an attractive employer.
