The Olympic Committee honors the football tennis team that won two international medals

Today, Monday, the head of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muftan, honored the delegation of the Iraqi national football tennis team, which won two international medals in the World Championship that concluded in Thailand a few days ago.

A statement by the Olympic Committee – received by the (INA) – stated that “the head of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Aqil Muftan, stressed the support of non-Olympic sports federations, especially those that achieve impressive global results, including the Football Tennis Federation.”
According to the statement, Muftan said, “Such federations were able to restore the luster to Iraqi sports and made its athletes among the forefront of world champions, which is what we hope for all national sports federations.”
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi national football tennis team won the gold medal in the quadruple event, and the bronze medal in the triple event of the World Championship in the game, which concluded its activities recently in the Thai city of Korat with the participation of 30 teams from all continents of the world, where our team was able to defeat the international teams, most notably Argentina, Italy and Poland.
