Israel is attacked with missiles; now from Yemeni territory

by times news cr

The Israeli Defense Forces have sounded the warning sirens once again in response to a missile launched from Yemen.

According to the IDF, the surface-to-air missile was intercepted and destroyed into fragments near the town of Ways inbut according to several sources, the rocket traveled a trajectory of 2,000 km, so Israeli forces concluded that it was launched from Yemeni territory.

Both the Arrow and Iron Dome systems managed to find the object and according to the rocket’s specifications, it was carrying a large load of explosives, so it was a long-range ballistic missile, possibly intercontinental.

It is no surprise that the Houthis (based in Yemen) carried out the attack, as several bombing attempts have been made from Yemeni territory in the past.

Israeli anti-missile systems have successfully located more than 95% of the missiles launched by Hezbollah in Yemen and Iran. However, despite the great effectiveness of Israel’s anti-missile system, several rockets have found their way through and attacked various targets, such as in July when a Houthi drone hit Tel Aviv.

The Israel Defense Forces will continue to improve their anti-missile capabilities and will recommend that the civilian population follow the appropriate protocols for taking shelter in case of bombings. Let us remember that not only one faction is against Israel, but also radical groups, jihadists, militias and entire governments.
