In it 203rd anniversary of Guatemala’s independence several places in the world greeted with different ways. Among the various ways to send a warm greeting was through the Lighting iconic places like bridges, monuments and other emblematic sites of the countries.

Places in the world that greeted Guatemala for its independence
The commemoration of another year of Guatemala’s independence from the Spanish Crown came with many greetings and congratulations from friendly countries around the world. Several well-known places saluted our country.
In New Delhi, India
To send a fraternal greeting, in India lit up with the projection of the Guatemalan flag the emblematic Qutub Minar. It is about the tallest brick minaret in the world and that is a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCOThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a video where they added the text: A symbol of pride and unity beyond our borders!
This is in the framework of the 203 years of commemoration of that September 15, 1821 when Guatemala declared its independence from the Spanish Crown. Qatar illuminated 3 iconic buildings
While in Qatar the enlightenment of was experienced three of the most iconic buildingsin Doha, with the aim of also congratulating and greeting Guatemala on the special date of September 15.
Monument to the middle of the world in Ecuador
A Latin American country that also joined the greeting was EcuadorWith a gesture that symbolizes fraternity and ties of cooperation, the monument was illuminated with the projection of the Central American flags, which of course included that of Guatemala.
The flagpole in Tbilisi, Georgia
The flagpole was lit with the national colors, thus symbolizing the recognition and friendship between the two countries. Something that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in its publication was that last year the Honorary Consulate of Guatemala was inaugurated in Tbilisiwith the aim of strengthening cooperation ties.
Bridge in Türkiye
He Martyrs’ Bridge of July 15 or also called Bosphorus Bridgein Türkiyewas illuminated for the first time with the national colors in honor of Guatemala. The importance of this bridge is due to the fact that it provides land connection to two continents, Europe and Asia. We detail this in our note:

A real festivity in the country
Around the world, several countries and their iconic places joined in the commemoration and celebration that we Guatemalans have been experiencing since the previous days. During the previous weeks, there were rehearsals of the musical bands that accompany the parades. There were preparations for floats, costumes, civic acts, planning of related activities and much more.
As the most significant date approached, more parades and torches began to appear from various important points in the country. For example, it is a tradition that the torches of most groups from the capital and nearby departments are lit at the Obelisk.
