/ The Duhok Sports Club administration decided, on Friday, to appoint Ahmed Khalaf as coach of its football team to lead it in the Iraqi Premier League football competitions.
Club president Abdullah Jalal told Agency, “During the club delegation’s presence in Baghdad, negotiations were held with Ahmed Khalaf officially to lead the team for the remainder of the league, while keeping Haider Sabah as assistant coach.”
He added, “Circumstances prompted us to negotiate with Ahmed Khalaf after we confirmed in our last meeting that Haidar Sabah would be appointed as the team’s first coach.”
He explained that “the agreement was made today in Baghdad, and Khalaf will immediately take over the task of leading the team during its upcoming match against Al-Hudood team tomorrow, Saturday, at Al-Kut Olympic Stadium.”
