Students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP) made a work stoppage at its facilities during the afternoon of Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
This was when a group of students met at various entrances of the institution, with the intention of express various protests against the educational authorities of UPAEP.
Due to this situation, representatives of the group of students from the Faculty of Medicine met with directors of this university, in the state of Pueblawith the aim of establishing a dialogue.

Medical students from UPAEP carried out a work stoppage today, which lasted for more than three hours.
The main reason for his complaint was to Demand that the quality of the teaching staff be improvedas they indicate that their classes have shown deficiencies.
For this reason, the students met after 7 in the morning, with the intention of close the accesses of the institution, located on 21 Sur and 13 Poniente streets.
Additionally, they indicated that several teachers who did have training, They were unjustifiably dismissed by the board.
This is why they requested the resignation of the principal, as they claim that this decision has diminished the quality of education, since It is a private educational institution.
The students were accompanied by banners with phrases such as “education is not for sale” and “student voices count, we want to be heard.”
On Tuesday afternoon, students from the UPAEP Faculty of Medicine announced that They reached an agreement with the educational authorities, with the aim of lift the strike that had been organized.
In this regard, after almost two hours of discussions, the students showed a signed commitment by the institution’s directors, who committed to follow up on your demands.
Due to this situation the various entrances of the UPAEP were releasedwhich is why the strike was ended.
However, medical students indicated that will be pending that the authorities fulfill what they promised during the dialogue table.
