The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that 28 arrest warrants were issued against people who committed different crimes, including fraud, material forgery, theft by computer means, threats with special aggravation, extortion and illicit associations.

“The FGR remains constant in the fight against organized crime structures and common criminals that harm Salvadoran families,” stated the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic.

The raids took place in: Cojutepeque, Cuscatlán, Monte San Juan, Santa Elena, Santa Maria, Llano de la Laguna, Ilopango, San Martin, San Emigdio, Quezaltepeque, San Francisco Gotera.

“Other arrests involve criminals who use social media to offer low-cost products, request advance deposits from their victims and then cut off communications with their victims after receiving the money,” the FGR said.
