Turkish police teams have detained a fighter from the Islamic State (Daesh) jihadist group who was preparing an attack in Istanbul, Turkish state television TRT-Haber reports.
The jihadist Ahmet Fatrawi, who was preparing to carry out an action in Istanbul on the instructions of the terrorist organization Daesh, was captured during an operation by the Istanbul police.
Fatrawi was found to have undergone Daesh training and spent time in Syria. He crossed from Syria to Turkey illegally.
In Turkey, he managed to reach Istanbul, where his contacts with the Islamic State continued.
