The Spanish taxi company Cabify app announced that it will withdraw from Mexico in October, after 11 years of operation.
It was the firm that sent a message of thanks to its users and reported that the October 11th will close operations in our country.
“We have sought to continue growing, generating profits for our driver and taxi partners and offering the best experience for passengers and corporate clients“the company said.
“However, despite this solid and long-term commitment to the country, the Mexican market has not responded to the expected level of growth and profitability,” he said. Cabify noted that its business units in Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina y Uruguay will continue working.
The company has faced the overwhelming success of the Asian companies Uber y Didi In Mexico, they lead the app-based taxi sector in several states, except in Quintana Roo, where they have not been allowed to operate.
