‘Moving the boats’ for the Barcelona CSIO football event that starts on October 3

María and Clara do a common project. A new project that pays a deep tribute to the Barcelona of the sea. Barcelona will host the CSIO Barcelona starting next October 3 at the Real Club de Polo, the 112th international polo tournament. An event that will bring together the eight best countries in the world until October 6, with Spain as host.

María Aguirre and Clara Julià were students of ElisavaFaculty of Design and Technology of the City of Barcelona. ‘Hoisting the Sails’ is the winning challenge of the design competition ‘We fly for the city’, an idea that celebrates its tenth edition among the main design schools in Barcelona.

“We have focused on the Rambla del Mar bridge, which represents the moment it is lifted for the boats to enter and leave,” María and Clara added, describing the columns they wanted to have in the work they. “We thank CSIO Barcelona for the agreement it created with us by creating this beautiful obstacle, with waves that represent the architectural highlights of Viaplana on the Rambla del Mar,” emphasized David Pino, director of Port Vell.
