Deportivo Cali couldn’t succeed in their visit to the Metropolitano de Techo. The team of Hernán Torres lost 1-0 to Fortaleza in the first leg of the Copa Colombia, with the goal scored by Sebastián Ramírez in the second half. This defeat adds to the loss suffered against Once Caldas over the weekend, a heavy 4-1 defeat in Manizales.
In the 84th minute, the central referee awarded a free kick on the right side. Sebastián Ramírez took the kick with an inward curve, and Sebastián Ramírez headed the ball, placing it over the left post of the Uruguayan goalkeeper Gastón Uruceaga.
Cali, counting the League, has not known victory for six games. Fortaleza, for its part, once again defeated the Valle del Cauca team this semester, having already done so on July 29 during the third round of the local tournament. After the match against Once Caldas, the president of the institution showed his support for coach Hernán Torres.
Other results from the round of 16
