Rise of indices in the capital market, reduced transactions

Trading on the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges (DSE-CSE) ended the third working day of the week on Wednesday (September 18) with indices rising. On this day, transactions in DSE and CSE decreased in amount compared to the previous working day. Besides, shares of most of the companies traded on DSE and CSE and unit prices of mutual funds fell.

Rise of indices in the capital market, reduced transactions

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE DSEX increased by 12.53 points from the previous day at 5 thousand 694 points. The DSE Shariah index increased by 7.49 points to 1,245 points and the DS30 index increased by 8.36 points to 2,076 points.

A total of 396 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, share and unit prices increased in 113 companies, decreased in 224 and remained unchanged in 59.

A total of Tk 553 crore 65 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE today. Shares and units worth Tk 634 crore 96 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index increased by 25.26 points to 9714 points. Overall index CASPI increased by 40 points to 16 thousand 117 points, Sharia index increased by 0.73 points to 1 thousand 32 points and CSE30 index increased by 24.32 points to 12 thousand 898 points.

Shares and units of 237 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 74 companies increased, 132 decreased and 31 remained unchanged.

At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 8.4 million were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 10 crore 91 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
