by time news

The British government says it is “deeply concerned by the escalation of tensions and civilian casualties in Lebanon”. This was written on his X profile by Foreign Secretary David Lammy after having had a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.

Lammy said there was a need for “a negotiated solution to restore stability and security along the Blue Line” on the Israeli-Lebanese border. Lammy also urged British citizens to leave Lebanon fearing a rapid deterioration in the situation.
