jpnn.comJAKARTA – Special Committee member Marwan Jafar said that on Thursday (19/9) his party actually invited the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas or Gus Yaqut to the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
However, Marwan said, Yaqut skipped the summons of the 2024 Hajj Inquiry Committee on the grounds of attending activities in Europe.
“Today the Minister of Religion is not present, the second invitation,” he said when met at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday.
Marwan strongly criticized Yaqut’s actions in again avoiding the summons of the 2024 Hajj Inquiry Committee for the second time.
“The Indonesian hajj pilgrims can witness how the Minister of Religion lacks integrity and lacks morality to be accountable for what he has done,” said the PKB Faction legislator.
Marwan suspects that Yaqut deliberately did not attend the meeting with the 2024 Hajj Inquiry Committee to buy time.
“It was deliberately made up to avoid the presence of the Special Committee which should have been present in this room today,” said Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin’s subordinate.
He admitted that the 2024 Hajj Inquiry Committee had scheduled to summon Yaqut for the third time on Monday (23/9) tomorrow.
