It has been more than a month since Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Stree 2’ was released. But this all-time blockbuster film is still at its best. The situation is such that this horror-comedy made in a budget of 50-60 crores has earned +915% more than its cost in 33 days. Not only this, it is now making a new record every day. In its fifth week, this film has not only broken Aamir Khan’s 15-year-old record on Monday, but has also blown away Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’. On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’, which was released last Friday, has flopped on the first Monday. According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Stree 2’, directed by Amar Kaushik, has made a net collection of Rs 3.00 crore in the country on the 33rd day. A day earlier on Sunday, it had earned Rs 6.75 crore. This drop in earnings is normal for the fifth Monday after the weekend. The total net collection of the film is now Rs 557.85 crore at the Indian box office.

‘Stree 2’ broke Aamir Khan’s 15 year old record

On Monday, ‘Stree 2’ has collected 3 crores and this is the lowest collection of this film in the last 33 days. But interestingly, on the 33rd day of its release, it has created a new record of the highest earning Bollywood film. Earlier, this record was in the name of Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’, which earned 2.48 crores on the 33rd day. This is far ahead of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’, which earned only 0.85 lakhs on the 33rd day. The lifetime collection of ‘Jawaan’ is 640.25 crores.

‘Stree 2’ Worldwide Collection Day 33

The film has also created a buzz in terms of worldwide collection. On the 33rd day, it has missed the entry into the 800 crore club by a whisker. The film has grossed Rs 795.75 crore at the global box office. Obviously, it will enter the 800 crore club on Tuesday or Wednesday. It has also grossed Rs 130 crore in foreign countries.

‘The Buckingham Murders’ fails miserably in the First Monday Test

On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’, which released on Friday, is in a bad shape. It has proved to be the weakest film of the actress’ 24-year career. Directed by Hansal Mehta, this film did a business of only Rs 5.25 crore in the first weekend. Whereas on Monday it could not earn even Rs 1 crore. On the fourth day, the film did a business of only Rs 75 lakh and thus the total collection of the film in four days is Rs 6.00 crore.
