Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud said his country has no plans to establish diplomatic relations with Israel until an independent Palestinian state is established with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “Alexey Zheleznov”.

He said Saudi Arabia “firmly supports the Palestinian people and condemns Israel’s actions,” which he described as “a violation of international and humanitarian law.” The prince stressed that the kingdom would not enter into any agreements with Israel as long as the “occupation and disregard for the rights of the Palestinian Arabs” continues.

Earlier, Cursor wrote that Blinken named the conditions for normalizing relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel could be possible if a ceasefire agreement is reached in the Gaza Strip. At a briefing on the hostage talks, Blinken noted that the parties were close to completing 90% of the talks, but there were still unresolved issues, in particular regarding the Philadelphia axis.

Blinken stressed that the main differences between Israel and Hamas continue to prevent a final agreement. The United States plans to present its proposals to Israel in the near future, which will be discussed with the militants with the mediation of Egypt and Qatar.

Normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel has been discussed many times, but the main obstacle remains Israel’s lack of recognition of a future Palestinian state. Earlier this year, US and Israeli administration sources said such a deal was unlikely to happen before the US presidential election in November.

The Biden administration has stressed that Saudi Arabia cannot agree to normalization while fighting continues in Gaza, a situation that makes such a deal virtually impossible for Riyadh to justify to the Arab world.
