Thanks to the general sponsor of the women’s volleyball championship “Demax”, the Bulgarian elite will be expanded in the new season, and more financial resources will be invested in it.
This happened during the renewal of the agreement between the federation and the official sponsor.
The contract was signed in the office of the headquarters by its president Lubomir Ganev and the majority owner of the group of companies, Eng. Petar Kanev.
Thus, for the 5th year in a row, “Demax” will support the women’s volleyball championship.
“With each passing year, we see better results from this collaboration, which is inspiring to me. My participation in Bulgarian volleyball has always been aimed at promoting and helping the development of my favorite sport. 4 years ago we were faced with the threat of only having 3 clubs in the women’s league.
With the hard work of the team in the “National Volleyball League – Women” committee and with the financial support of “Demax” this did not happen. Last season there were 8 teams, this year there are 10, and for the next season we have interest from 2 more clubs to join.
This means that the number of participants will reach 12. I cannot help but be satisfied with this progress, but my joy is even greater because we are about to revive women’s volleyball in a city emblematic of our sport, such as is Pernik.
In the league, young Bulgarian athletes are given the opportunity to perform, develop and grow. This summer we also saw the concrete impact on the national teams with the winning of the European title for girls under 18 years old,” shared Kanev, who is also the vice president of the federation.
“Thank you to Demax and Mr. Petar Kanev. In the new contract, the financial parameters are increased, but this means that we are also increasing the requirements for the clubs themselves. I hope they will continue to be responsible and give way to young and talented Bulgarian volleyball players”, said Lubo Ganev.
