In the past few days, the Italian Gymnastics Federation has issued a circular that formalizes the return of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team to the training camp in Desio after the bronze medal won in Paris 2024.
Many fans wondered if they would ever see the Butterflies again. Alessia Maurelli, Martina Centofanti, Agnese Duranti, Daniela Mogurean, Laura Paris e Alessia Russo on the platform, and apparently it would seem so. Just today in Follonica, the place of the summer retreats of the National Rhythmic Team, there was the party for the Olympic bronze brought home from Paris 2024. Maurelli declared on his social profiles: “Hello Follonica. I am with my sisters to celebrate the Olympic medal that we dreamed of bringing back here, Home.“
Rhythmic gymnasts called to the training camp for the National Team work in Desio
The Federal Circularin addition to the names of the starting roster listed above, also calls other gymnasts to the training camp at the Desio Academy from 23 September to 31 October 2024, all listed below.

- Bianca Vineyards (Etruria Meadow)
Together with these gymnasts, the Technicians Valeria Canali, Svetlana Durdenevskaya, Elisa Quilici, Olga Tishina and Katy Vettorato were also appointed, in addition to the DTN Emanuela Maccarani, the choreographer Federica Bagnera and the athletic trainer Enrico Bruscia.
This is probably the future of the national movement of Rhythmic Gymnastics of Italy. At the national level, new and old talents are coming together to build pages of a history yet to be written for this sport.
