In the municipalities of Sidi Issa and Ouled Zemam, all human and logistical resources are deployed to facilitate the work of investigators and to meet the challenges related to the scattering of douars in these predominantly rural areas.
The citizens of these two local authorities demonstrated great civic commitment by fully adhering to the census operation and by responding sincerely and very spontaneously to the investigators’ questions.
As usual, local authorities, who assist investigators in data collection operations from households, lend a helping hand to census staff by providing valuable support, given their knowledge of these areas.
In detail, a total of 625 people are taking part in this operation at the provincial level, including 469 investigators, 143 controllers and 13 municipal supervisors in addition to administrative teams and authority agents in urban and rural areas.
In order to facilitate the work of census enumerators, particularly in these difficult areas, some 106 vehicles have been deployed at the provincial level to facilitate the movement of investigators in the census areas.
In a statement to MAP, the provincial director of the HCP in Fkih Ben Salah, Bensaid Bakhtaoui noted that the census operation is taking place in excellent conditions in accordance with the established schedule, highly commending the great civic engagement of the citizens who warmly welcomed the investigators and responded with all spontaneity.
Mr. Bakhtaoui welcomed the support provided by local authorities to census takers, particularly in these areas, noting that the use of information systems and electronic tablets facilitates the work of census staff and allows census takers to work more efficiently.
Conducted in accordance with the High Royal Instructions and in accordance with the recommendations of the United Nations Statistical Commission, the RGPH 2024 will provide a real picture of the population and housing. It is of capital importance for the planning of public policies and the socio-economic development of the country, offering a detailed picture of Moroccan society and its evolution.
