The amount of deposits of non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) of the country at the end of June this year stood at Tk 45 thousand 116 crores. During the same period last year, the amount of deposits was 44 thousand 683 crores. Deposits of non-banking financial institutions increased by Tk 433 crore during the year.

Deposits of financial institutions have increased the economy

According to the data, at the end of the March quarter of this year, the amount of deposits of financial institutions was 44 thousand 304 crores. According to that, the deposits in this sector have increased by 812 crores in the span of three months. At the end of June, the amount of deposits stood at 45 thousand 116 crores.

Meanwhile, the debt status of non-banking financial institutions stood at 74 thousand 918 crores at the end of last June. In the same period of the previous year which was 72 thousand 439 crores. Debt status has increased by Tk 2 thousand 479 crore during the period under discussion.

According to the review of the Central Bank report, out of the total deposits, 41 thousand 735 crores or 92.50 percent of the Dhaka division. And the minimum deposit of Tk 69 crore is in Barisal division, which is 0.15 percent of the total deposit.

Majority of loans like deposits are also in Dhaka division. At the end of last June, 62 thousand 503 crores or 83.42 percent of the total loan was given to Dhaka Division. Barisal division also has the lowest debt status, Tk 390 crore; Which is 0.52 percent of the total debt.
