This meeting, the second of its kind after the royal speech of August 20, 2022, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, saw the presentation of the proposals, recommendations and decisions of the five thematic committees under the technical commission, in execution of the High directives contained in the speech of HM the King.
According to the president of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), Driss El Yazami, this meeting “allowed the five thematic committees to present preliminary proposals and establish an agenda of activities, so that the final version of all the proposals issued is ready by the end of January, in anticipation of the meeting of the ministerial commission which will be chaired by the Head of Government next February.”
In a statement to the press, Mr. El Yazami stressed that “the five committees have taken into consideration the proposals made in the different sectors”, affirming that all ministerial departments are fully mobilized to implement the High Royal Directives contained in the speech of August 20.
The Secretary General of the MRE Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Ismail Lamghari, told the press that the meeting was an opportunity to present the results of two months of work of the thematic committees, since the holding of the first meeting of the technical commission, on November 14, 2022, and to discuss a number of proposals developed by each committee.
These thematic committees are dedicated to the rehabilitation and modernization of the institutional framework, the promotion of MRE investments in the Kingdom, cultural, religious and educational supervision, the promotion of administrative services and the rights of MREs and the mobilization of Moroccan skills abroad, he recalled.
