He had to pay 10,000 euros, but the selling company kept postponing the finalization of the deal, until one day he found the apartment with a changed key

To like an apartment in Plovdiv, to conclude a contract for its purchase, to pay the deposit and subsequent installments without 10,000 euros until the final price, because the seller tells you: “There is time”. To invest thousands of BGN in its renovation and one day you find with a replaced cartridge on the door and an alarm set to go off when you try to enter.

This happened to 75-year-old Fari Chaushev, who decided to buy an apartment in Plovdiv for his daughter, who is disabled and 75% disabled.

This blow is not the first that fate has dealt

presented to Chaushev in his homeland

In the late 1980s, during the so-called Revival process, it had to be renamed Fidan and was then forced to emigrate to Turkey. However, some time ago he decided to return to our country and treat his daughter here.

It all started on October 12, 2016, when Fari Chaushev concluded a preliminary contract with the company “Matisto” OOD for the purchase of an apartment of 96 square meters in a new building on “Svishtov” street #2 in the center of Plovdiv. The cooperative has been built, but there is no deed 15 yet. The price is 60,000 euros, Chaushev pays 60 percent of it at the signing of the contract, the rest must be paid in 2 installments – 14,000 and 10,000 euros. The first one is done, only the 10 thousand euros remain. Fari claims that he repeatedly looked for Violeta Velkova from the seller’s company to pay the balance and finalize the transaction, but she refused with a different pretext – that she did not have time, that it was not urgent, etc.

“He kept putting it off, but I had a key to the place, I was finishing it up and furnishing it, and I often slept there. So, until one evening in May of that year I went there and found that the key wouldn’t work. I called a cousin with a drill and when it started working the alarm went off.He told me to turn off the alarm, I replied that I didn’t put it on.

There were also shortages in the apartment – some cabinets with tools were missing, clothes, sheets and documents

I went down to meet the officers from the SOT, the police also came. It’s good that one of the guys from the SOT recognized me, his company installed the alarm in the building some time ago and he knew that I had an apartment here,” Fari describes what happened.

He began persistently looking for Violeta Velkova, but she did not pick up the phone and he forced himself to seek the assistance of a notary, whose call she answered. She explained that Fari Chaushev owed more money and despite his assurance that he was ready to pay the balance right away, no meeting was reached. Since then, Velkova has been untraceable to Fari.

So he turns to lawyer Tanya Chechkova.

“For 8 years, Fari Chaushev has been bullied by the company “Matisto” OOD, that he will become the owner of an apartment in the center of Plovdiv. He paid 90% of the price of the property, and the selling company, instead of transferring it to him, deprives him of it. as well as from all his belongings that are inside, together with the documents for the purchased complete furniture, equipment and repairs. During all the years the buyer used the property and was “put to sleep” that the issue of documenting the transaction was only a detail and a formality she commented.

The case has been reported to the prosecutor’s office,

which has initiated a fraud investigation

“I still do not believe that such a thing can happen, I have trusted people all my life,” says the 75-year-old man.

Violeta Velkova hung up the phone of the “24 chasa” reporter as soon as she realized what he was looking for. When she called again, she explained that she was not comfortable talking. After that, she did not answer the calls.
