The “Safe Passage” Deal.. Israel Puts Up a New Proposal in Gaza

by times news cr

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced that “Israel will present what is called the ‘safe passage deal’, which is a proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, to the mediators, including the fate of the head of the Hamas political bureau, Yahya Sinwar.”

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said: “The Israeli proposal stipulates, in return, agreeing to the exit of “Sinwar” and others from Gaza through a safe passage. The proposal also includes the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners, disarming the Strip, implementing a comprehensive peace agreement with the creation of another control mechanism in Gaza and the end of the war.”

A senior Israeli official commented to the radio: “In light of the many difficulties facing us and the time that passes and poses a danger to the kidnapped, we aim to develop a “secondary line” (Plan B) of several stages that will shorten the stages and all of them, with a faster deal that can happen if “Sinwar” leaves and the war ends.”

He explained that “this proposal will allow the war’s goals to be achieved and will allow the Hamas leadership in Gaza to leave for a safe place.”

It is noteworthy that “Sinwar” assumed the leadership of “Hamas” last August, following the assassination of the movement’s political bureau chief at the time, Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Iran last July.

Israel has been continuing its war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, which has resulted in the killing of more than 41,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 95,000 others, most of whom are women and children.
