The woman who was beaten by a 17-year-old student in Pernik has died. She was on controlled breathing for more than a month, NOVA writes.
The incident happened in the early hours of July 29 in front of a store in the “Iztok” district of Pernish.
A clip of the incident appeared on social networks. It shows the woman sitting on a table in front of the store. Two boys come. Seconds before, their acquaintance had told them: “Be careful, this one is mentally ill. She broke my mirror a while ago.” The man ran another 24-hour shop. He even showed them a clip of what happened.
At that moment, a young man approaches with a hood on his head, who stands in front of her with his arms crossed and in a menacing pose. A second later another boy approaches, also wearing a hood and shorts. The young man’s initials are D.P., as he is 17 years old, and the prosecutor’s office refuses to disclose his name. In the clip, he is not heard saying anything to the woman. It hits her directly in the face. She falls back with the chair. The aggressor does not stop, on the contrary. He approaches the woman, brutally kicks her several times in the face and body, and she screams. The hooligans then walk away. At that moment, another woman, probably a saleswoman, comes out of the store and starts shouting after the dark attackers. The report was filed with the police by the emergency medics, who admitted the beaten woman from Pernichan to the hospital. She had a broken maxillofacial bone.
“She was here at 4:40. She had a coffee, she sat down and one of the young men said to her, ‘what are you doing here?’ She had difficulty speaking. Then the second one came, put on a hood and attacked her,” the nephew said at the time of the assaulted woman.
The 17-year-old youth was charged with the beating of the woman and detained for 48 hours.
The mayor of the mining town, Stanislav Vladimirov, strongly condemned the case of violence and published a photo of the perpetrator.
