Baghdad – WAA
The draw ceremony for the Iraqi Premier League football tournament, which was held yesterday evening, Tuesday, witnessed many objections from the participating clubs, especially regarding the decision on player and coach registration fees for the new season.

Al-Hudood Club Secretary Hazem Timouz told the (INA): “The player registration system requires the payment of specific fees, and without them the player cannot be registered. The clubs must be notified by an official letter requiring the players to pay these fees, but unfortunately the decision has not been officially circulated.”
Timoz added that “the decision put the clubs in an embarrassing position after concluding the contracts, as the clubs cannot force the player to pay, nor are they able to pay the amounts, as they are large amounts that may reach 300 million dinars, as they include the fees of the players, technical, medical and administrative staff, and for four age groups.”
Timoz explained that “a group of clubs submitted a request to the president of the federation and members of the executive office calling for postponing the collection of fees until the next season, provided that the fees are included in the contract and at a specific percentage, but no response has been received so far.”
Timoz continued: “While the Federation obliges clubs to pay fees and subscriptions, in return the Football Association must determine the size of the league’s revenues and distribute them among the clubs so that they can know their income and work on developing their teams and paying their dues.”
