Laura Sarabia, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency, met at the Casa de Nariño with congressmen from different political sectors, including the boards of directors of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The meeting also had as its main objective to incorporate inputs to the National Competitiveness and Innovation Agenda. and address the articulation with ASOBANCARIA within the framework of the Credit Pact, an agreement that was designed to boost access to credit and, thereby, contribute significantly to the national economic reactivation. This pact, together with the proposals discussed, is a commitment derived from the Economic Reactivation Forum held in Manizales on August 9.

Laura Sarabia highlighted the importance of collaboration between the National Government and all sectors involved: “It is essential that this plan includes strategies, plans, projects and actions that contribute to boosting the economy in the short, medium and long term. For the National Government, it is of great importance to actively listen to all sectors.”

Jaime Raúl Salamanca, President of the Chamber of Representatives, supported this position by pointing out the importance of inter-institutional collaboration to achieve an effective impact on economic recovery: “This is a significant step forward, where all actors can seek opportunities for recovery. It is crucial that we work together so that Colombia enters a path of growth.”

Salamanca also stressed that creating a secure environment is essential to attract investment, insisting on the need to moderate political discussions to generate confidence. “Without security, there is no confidence to invest; we must generate a technical debate that allows us to find joint solutions,” he said.

Congresswoman Angélica Lozano, for her part, recalled the agreement reached in Manizales and stressed the importance of holding regular meetings to assess the progress of the plan. “It is essential to maintain this dialogue between Congress and the Government,” she said, adding that meetings will be held every six weeks to review progress and adjust actions as necessary.
