Like the first time, Metrorail is going to provide passenger services on Fridays as well. This service will start from next Friday (September 20). However, the metro rail will run at specific times on Friday.
According to the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the Metrorail managing company, the metro train of MRT Line-6 operated and maintained under DMTCL will run every Friday from Uttara North to Motijheel from 3.30 pm to 9 pm from September 20 and from Motijheel to Uttara North. It has been decided to move on the scheduled headway from 3:50 pm to 9:40 pm.
Meanwhile, the movement of the metrorail on the Agargaon-Motijheel route was stopped from 9:40 am on Wednesday due to a bearing pad of the viaduct on pillar number 430 near the Farmgate Metrorail station. After solving the technical fault, the movement of the metro rail from Uttara North to Motijheel was normalized at 8:25 pm.
