  • Actress Hayden Panettiere discusses her daughter in an interview.

  • Fans on social media are demanding that the videos should be deleted, as she seems to be high.

  • Hayden had long struggled with addiction to alcohol and opioids but was previously considered clean. Now many fear a relapse.

Hayden Panettiere recounts how her daughter directed other children at a school play and seems to be losing control over her face. The 35-year-old actress slurs her speech, appears unable to keep her eyes open, starts laughing, and shortly after furrows her brow.

An excerpt of the interview with “People” can be seen on the Instagram account of the celebrity magazine. In the comment sections, followers are horrified. “It’s so uncomfortable to watch,” writes someone. Many are accusing the magazine. “This is an addict who clearly isn’t sober,” “It should be illegal to publish interviews with people who are obviously high,” or “This interview should be removed as soon as possible,” write numerous people.

Hayden Panettiere spoke about addiction

In 2023, Hayden openly and honestly discussed her addiction and its consequences with the US magazine “Women’s Health.” She took opioids merely to alleviate her pain from a neck injury. However, Panettiere became addicted – not just to the medication, but also to alcohol.

“I was told by so many people in my life how I should be and how I should live,” the ex-girlfriend of Wladimir Klitschko (48) said. And further: “I wanted certain decisions to be my own, and no one could stop me. What I was putting into my body was an act of defiance.”

Panettiere on the consequences of her addiction

She struggled with severe sleep deprivation. “Sleep is extremely important. It affects your motor skills, your cognitive abilities, and your overall health. My body just eventually said, ‘enough,’” explains the mother of one daughter. The consequences of addiction took a terrible physical toll.

For instance, the 35-year-old suffered from jaundice, which was evident in her yellow eyes. Because of this, she had to be treated by a liver specialist. “My body was holding onto weight that I didn’t have before. And my hair was thin and just falling out in clumps,” Panettiere further explained.

As a last resort, the US star spent eight months in a rehabilitation clinic – which saved her. “The therapy tore me apart and put me back together,” the ex-fiancée of boxing world champion Wladimir Klitschko (48) told “People” last year.
