Blocked bank account of SK Trims is active

On Thursday (September 19), this information was revealed by Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE).

According to the information, the High Court Division ruled yesterday on the issue of the order of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court regarding the blocking of the company’s bank account. It was ordered to activate the bank account of the company. The bank account of SK Trims will remain active till October 20.

Earlier, Bangladesh Bank’s Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) and Metropolitan Sessions Judge ordered that all bank accounts of the company were blocked from June 25. Because of this, the company’s export-oriented factory could not import any raw materials from abroad. As a result, there is no work in the factory for quite some time. There is also no provision of financing to keep the factory running. In this situation, the authorities decided to close the factory.

Following this, the company sent a letter to the chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on September 7. The same letter has been sent to the Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
