jpnn.comJAKARTA – Political observer M Qodari challenged the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) to summon the PDIP General Chairperson, Megawati Soekarnoputri and Mahfud MD regarding the use of a private jet.
According to him, this step will prove the KPK’s consistency regarding the use of private jets.
On Youtube Cokro TV, Qodari emphasized that the spotlight on PSI General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep was unfair, considering that many state officials also use private jets without getting the same attention.
Qodari explained that Kaesang did not meet the requirements as a state official according to the law.
“Kaesang was never appointed as a state official by presidential decree and did not receive any facilities from the state. This shows that he should not be treated the same as other public officials,” he explained.
In other words, Kaesang’s use of a private jet should not be a major focus, given his status as an ordinary citizen, not a public official.
Furthermore, Qodari highlighted that Kaesang’s presence at the KPK was the right step and showed good faith.
“He came voluntarily to provide an explanation even though there was no legal obligation to do so,” he said.
