According to the accusation, retired Colonel González Henríquez would have facilitated the murder of Pizarro by making unforeseen changes in the security detail of the political leader, who at that time had signed the peace agreement and was a presidential candidate. Between 1989 and 1990, González Henríquez was in charge of coordinating the protection of public figures, and it is alleged that his decisions regarding the rotation of security personnel allowed the hitman to carry out the criminal plan.

The former officer will remain under house arrest while the judicial process against him advances. Any legal remedies that may be necessary may be filed against the indictment.
