Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya team will face its guest, Al-Tin Asyr team from Turkmenistan, at nine o’clock this evening, Wednesday, at the International City Stadium in the capital, Baghdad, as part of the matches of the first round of the AFC Champions League 2.

Al-Suqoor seeks to achieve an ideal start, relying on the home field and the fans to win the three points that motivate them to compete for first place in the group. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya’s technical director, Wissam Rizk, knows the importance of facing Turkmenistan’s Altin Asir and achieving victory at the beginning of the journey, despite the difficulty of the task due to the absence of official matches.

For its part, the Turkmenistan team seeks to achieve a distinguished start, relying on its complete squad, noting that it was able to reach the AFC Champions League after beating its Indian counterpart, East Bengal, in the preliminary round by three goals to two.

32 teams participate in the tournament, divided into eight groups, each consisting of four clubs, playing in a two-stage system, with the first and second place teams qualifying for the round of 16.
