The President of the United States, Joe Biden announced that his wife Jill Bidenthe American first lady, will attend the inauguration of the president-elect on her behalf, Claudia Sheinbaumthe next one October 1st.
The White House said in a statement that the First Lady will be accompanied by a U.S. Presidential Delegation, and the names of the members of this delegation will be announced at a later date.
On the other hand, the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, has commented on several occasions that the future Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, sent invitations to the countries where Mexico has diplomatic relations.
It is worth mentioning that, on October 1, Claudia Sheinbaum will be sworn in as constitutional president of the United Mexican States in the Chamber of Deputies, after which she will offer a meal at the National Palace for her international guests.
On the same day, in the Zócalo of Mexico City, the future president will receive the baton of command from the indigenous peoples and the Afro-Mexican people.
