Churu: In Churu district of Rajasthan, a father-in-law stripped his own son’s wife half naked and threw her out of the house. The incident happened on 15th September. The victim’s husband lives abroad. The woman alleges that her in-laws were harassing her for dowry. On the day of the incident, when the married woman reached home with her one and a half year old child, her in-laws started beating her. The father-in-law along with other people beat the woman, tore her clothes and threw her out of the house in a half naked state.
People kept making videos of the woman in semi-nude state instead of helping her
After being thrown out of the house, the woman kept pleading for help on the road with her child but no one helped her. Some people even kept making videos of her. Later, the police took the victim to the police station and registered a case on her complaint. According to the police, the victim had lodged a case against her father-in-law on September 15 itself. The woman had told in her complaint that she was married in 2022. After marriage, her in-laws started harassing her for dowry.
In-laws are harassing for dowry
Police said that on September 15, when the victim reached her in-laws’ house with her child, her in-laws beat her up. The accused also snatched her five thousand rupees and mobile. The victim says that her in-laws were constantly harassing her for dowry. On the day of the incident too, they beat her up and threw her out of the house after stripping her half naked.
The accused have not been arrested yet
This incident has once again made it clear that crimes against women are not stopping. The claims made by the government for the safety of women are proving to be hollow. This incident has shamed the society. On one hand, people give women the status of goddess, on the other hand, such brutality is done with a woman and people keep watching the spectacle. The police have registered a case and started investigation. The arrest of the accused is yet to be made.
When the husband went abroad, the in-laws threw him out of the house
Churu Mahila Thanadhikari Kartar Singh said, ‘The victim woman had lodged a case against her father-in-law on September 15. The woman told in the report that she was married in 2022. Her husband lives abroad. After marriage, her in-laws started harassing her for dowry.’ He further said, ‘The married woman reached her in-laws’ house with her child on September 15. On reaching home, her in-laws beat up the married woman. They snatched five thousand rupees in cash and mobile and tore her clothes while abusing her. According to the report, the father-in-law and other in-laws threw the woman out of the house in a semi-naked condition.
