Over 1 month ago, Vu Minh Hieu won the throne 2nd Runner-up of the 2024 Music Peak Competition folk music. To show gratitude to his supporters, Vu Minh Hieu soon organized his first mini-show “Lullaby” on the evening of September 20 in Hanoi. The music night, organized by Vang Son Mot Thuo, portrayed the portrait of the runner-up of the Peak of Music Vu Minh Hieu through 3 chapters: Lullaby, Return and Folk songs of 3 regions.
Vu Minh Hieu invited teacher – Sao Mai Thu Ha, artist Thanh Thanh Hien and student Thanh Tho to participate as guests. MC Kim Nguyen Bao contributed stories about his musical career and life so that the audience could see more clearly Vu Minh Hieu’s initial musical portrait.

In the first music night, Vu Minh Hieu presented the audience with songs he successfully performed, helping him win the title. Runner-up of Peak of Musicincluding: Motherland River (ST: Minh Vy), Ha Tinh people have compassion (Music: Luu Ha An, Lyrics: Lan Dung). Vu Minh Hieu also sent the audience songs about lullabies and his homeland that he loved since he was a child, which are: Lullaby (ST Le Minh), The sound of the monochord (ST Nguyen Dinh Phuc)…
Vu Minh Hieu’s first minishow There are important women who have been present in his artistic career. First of all, Vu Minh Hieu’s teacher – Doctor of Music, Sao Mai Thu Ha – Head of the Faculty of Arts, Hanoi Pedagogical University. Vu Minh Hieu is a young man with many ambitions in the arts. He not only studies at the National Academy of Music, but is also a student at the Faculty of Arts, Hanoi Pedagogical University with the desire to become a music teacher, guiding generations of students with his own love of music.

Dr. and artist Thu Ha shared that it was raining heavily near the performance time, so she was a bit worried about her student. “At this point, when the show was taking place, I thought, maybe that was Vu Minh Hieu’s luck, that was the answer for Vu Minh Hieu. How much must I love him for the audience to be so crowded today,” said Sao Mai Thu Ha.
She also affirmed that Vu Minh Hieu is the pride of her as well as many teachers in the Faculty of Arts – Hanoi National University of Education. Artist Thu Ha wishes her student to develop more, to pursue his passion and not disappoint the expectations of his teachers, relatives and the audience.
Having thanked teacher Thu Ha many times on his personal page, in his first minishow, Vu Minh Hieu once again expressed his gratitude for her guidance and encouragement on his first steps in his artistic career.
Participating in the music night as a guest, singer Thu Ha presented the audience with the song: Floating (Music: Vu Hoai Nam, Lyrics: Ho Mau Thanh), Love Poetry of the Mountain (ST An Thuyen) and duet with Vu Minh Hieu the song Moonlight on both sides (ST An Trung).
A special woman to Vu Minh Hieu must be mentioned singer Ngoc Cham – Director of Vang Son Mot Thuo, who organized the music night for Vu Minh Hieu. Vang Son Mot Thuo is where Vu Minh Hieu is fulfilling his dream of becoming a music teacher. He is currently a music lecturer at the Vang Son Mot Thuo Music Center founded by singer Ngoc Cham.

“Ngoc Cham and Vang Son Mot Thuo consider Vu Minh Hieu as a family member, and when needed, they will help responsibly and wholeheartedly. Vu Minh Hieu just won the runner-up prize at Peak of Music, this is the best time for me to send my thanks and gratitude to my first audience.
Although he is a new artist, Vu Minh Hieu has many qualities to succeed. He works seriously and responsibly. In addition to talent, those are the first factors to succeed. Ngoc Cham believes that with those qualities, Vu Minh Hieu will be a bright flower in the garden of art,” said singer Ngoc Cham.
A memorable mark in the music night “Lullaby” by Vu Minh Hieu was the appearance of Thanh Thanh Hien – his “senior”, his idol since he was a child. Thanh Thanh Hien sings Come home (ST Pho Duc Phuong), Ben Tre posture (ST Nguyen Van Ty), duet with Vu Minh Hieu song Li Mu Shang (Folk songs of Binh Tri Thien) and Love on the Quan Ho River (ST Phan Lac Hoa). Thanh Thanh Hien shared that her singing style is a bit different so she rarely sings duets, but standing on the same stage singing duets with her juniors makes her feel very comfortable and excited. The audience also gave many compliments to the two artists’ duet with sweet and harmonious folk songs.

Also participating in Vu Minh Hieu’s music night on the evening of September 20 was Thanh Tho, his student at the Golden Age Arts Center. Thanh Tho – Vu Minh Hieu performed the song Son (ST Duc Nghia).
To complete the portrait of the runner-up of Peak of Music 2024 Vu Minh Hieu, he performed the song My dear Nam Dinh (ST Nguyen Tien) – is the male singer’s hometown where he can return when happy or sad. Along with that is Listen to Quan Ho songs on the plateau (ST Vu Thiet), Hue and Me, Folk Song Medley of Three Regions… The music night showed a multi-talented Vu Minh Hieu when he performed many different genres of music, but like the name of the program “Lullaby”, Vu Minh Hieu always wanted to find his true self which is folk music and music with folk influences.

After the mini show “Lullaby”, Vu Minh Hieu shared: “I feel very happy and moved. Happy to be able to sublimate on stage and burn out with music. Moved by the appearance of all my relatives, teachers, friends, colleagues, students, my audience… Everyone braved the wind and rain to come to my mini show. The mini show was held right after my success at the 2024 Music Peak competition, this is the first step I have taken to conquer the audience after the award. The path of an artist is very long, to conquer the audience also requires a lot of effort, hard work and perseverance, I will always strive to have more and more audiences love me and be successful on the path I love”.
