Lucknow: The saints of Uttar Pradesh are angry over the issue of animal fat being mixed in the ghee used to prepare the prasad (laddu) of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. From Kashi Vidvat Parishad to the priest of Ram temple, everyone has expressed strong displeasure over this. The saints said that this is playing with the sentiments of those who believe in Sanatan Dharma. He said that this is an unforgivable crime and strict action should be taken against those who do this. He said that it is our responsibility to save our religion. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ayodhya’s Ram temple, said, ‘If animal fat was mixed in the laddu, then it is unforgivable. Strict action should be taken against those involved in this.’ Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ram temple, said that if animal fat was mixed in the laddu, then it is unforgivable. Strict action should be taken against those involved in this. Das said that Vaishnav saints and devotees do not even use garlic and onion. In such a situation, the use of fat in prasad is very unfortunate. This is a mockery of Hindu faith. A big agency should investigate this and action should be taken against those found guilty. Das also confirmed that 300 kg of prasad from Tirupati temple was distributed among devotees during the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in January this year.
Kashi Vidvat Parishad expressed displeasure
Kashi Vidvat Parishad’s General Secretary Professor Ramnarayan Dwivedi has also expressed his displeasure over adulteration in Prasad. He said that by doing this, the faith of Hindu society has been tampered with, which cannot be accepted at any cost. He said that the Chief Minister of the state Chandrababu Naidu himself is telling with facts that fat has been mixed in the Prasad. This is very sad. By doing this, the faith of Hindu society has been tampered with. This is a condemnable and unforgivable act. The Hindu society of the entire country is agitated by this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of the state Chandrababu Naidu should take action against the accused involved in this case, because Hindu society cannot tolerate this at any cost.
Mockery of faith
Dwivedi further said that such action must be taken against those who dare to do such a thing, so that it becomes an example for the entire world that if someone tries to make fun of the faith of Hinduism, then what happens to him. Ashish Goswami, sevadhikari of Vrindavan Banke Bihari temple said that this is an unforgivable crime. Saving our religion is our first responsibility. As we are getting information through news that fat has been found in the Prasad of Tirupati Balaji temple, so let me clarify that in our Shri Banke Bihari temple Vrindavan, complete attention is paid to purity and sanctity in the offering made to Bihari ji.
Goswami said that I believe that adulteration is an unpardonable crime. It is very important for us to save our religion. We should take special care of these things for our Sanatan Dharma, our Hindu culture and to maintain the purity and sanctity of our temples, so that the Prasad of God can be pure and sacred. He said that no religious leader or any priest or Pandit would want that there should be any mistake in the service of God, but if any complaint comes from anywhere, then it is a matter of investigation, it needs to be removed. I request the government-administration and the management of temples to take special care of the purity and sanctity of the Prasad being made for the service of God. Our faith and God come first for us. Any kind of negligence in this is unacceptable.
Akharas told conspiracy
Mahant Durgadas of Panchayat Akhara Bada Udasin of Prayagraj said that we have full faith that the temple management cannot do such a thing. There is a smell of conspiracy in the matter. It should be investigated. Mahant Advaidhtanandji said, Tirupati Balaji temple is the axis of our Sanatan. The rituals and method of worship in the southern tradition are very strong. This should not happen there.
