Regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) will conduct an investigation into four funds managed by CWT Private Equity Limited listed in the mutual fund sector in the capital market.
The 921st commission meeting was held on Wednesday (September 18) under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Khandaker Rashed Maqsood. After the meeting, BSEC Director and Spokesperson Farhana Farooqui signed this information.
According to the notice, the draft trust deed and draft investment management agreement of CWT Private Equity Fund were approved in the 911th meeting of the commission held on June 9. However, due to various contrary information published in this regard later, CWT Private Equity Fund managed under the institution will not be given the registration certificate.
Besides, it was decided in the commission meeting that four funds managed under CWT Private Equity Limited will be investigated.
