According to parliament sources, there are about 1,150 officers and employees in the National Parliament Secretariat. Many people are not coming to the parliament secretariat because the digital attendance system has been destroyed.

Most of the doors and windows are broken. Hundreds of computers and laptops in Parliament were lost. Even though it has been a long time, there is no initiative to repair it. Because of this, the officials and employees of the Parliament Secretariat are not doing their work properly with excuses. Even though many people hold offices, they are not able to continue the routine activities after the dissolution of parliament.

In this regard, an official of the Parliament Secretariat said that the Parliament building is located on an area of ​​215 acres. Thousands of people entered the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan premises and buildings after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government in the student uprising. At that time, they vandalized most of the rooms of the 9-storey building, including the Prime Minister’s office, opposition parliamentary leader, speaker, deputy speaker, chief whip, whips’ rooms.

Several officials of the Parliament Secretariat said that the Parliament’s furniture, windows and other items were broken. Parliament has some routine work which is yet to start. Secretary sir has taken responsibility. He will quickly start the work of reforms including compensation.

Nirapattakami, who is in charge of the parliament building, said that after Sheikh Hasina fled on August 5, the security forces on duty at the gate of the parliament building first prevented entry. Thousands of people entered the South Plaza of Sangsad Bhavan square, Khejurbagan ground, tunnel.

They also said that a group of people ransacked almost all the rooms of the Parliament building from afternoon to night. Many of them broke the lock on August 6 and took valuable papers along with laptops, computers, TVs, refrigerators. At around 11:30 am, the army started the security work of the parliament building. The army did not allow anyone to enter except the staff of the secretariat. When the students requested to return the goods, some of the goods were taken and kept in the godown of the Parliament.

Jatiya Sangsad Additional Secretary Jebunnesa Karim said that an initiative has been taken to repair the parliament building on an urgent basis. Sangsad Bhaban official and personal total of 90 lakh rupees were lost. The list of lost and damaged goods of various offices, sub-divisions and branches of Sansad Bhaban will be submitted this week and work will be started soon.

He said that necessary steps have been taken to repair damaged computers, printers, scanners, internet connections, telephone exchanges, lines and sets in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on an urgent basis.
