jpnn.comSURABAYA – The chances of Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Elestianto Dardak winning the East Java gubernatorial election are wide open. This is thanks to the steadfastness of the choice of the Javanese and Madurese people who mostly chose Khofifah-Emil over other candidates.
“In terms of support, Khofifah does seem superior compared to Risma and even Luluk, with the composition of support from Nahdliyyin circles,” said the Executive Director of Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO), Dedi Kurnia Syah Putra, Saturday (21/9).
Reflecting on the results of the Poltracking Indonesia survey findings for the period 4-10 September 2024, Khofifah-Emil garnered a lot of support from Javanese voters, namely with an electability of 54.9 percent. Much larger than the Madurese community at 70.8 percent.
Meanwhile, his two competitors, Tri Rismaharini-Zahrul Azhar, have an electability of 24.2 percent from the Javanese ethnic group and 12.4 percent from Madura.

He assessed that the toughness of Khofifah-Emil’s electability was certainly strengthened by the support of many groups. Therefore, making the General Chairperson of PP Muslimat NU increasingly desired by all elements to lead East Java again in the future.
“Khofifah has received additional strength from NU circles who currently seem to be approaching Khofifah,” he said.
Moreover, the commitment of real support is very clearly visible from Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) members for Khofifah-Emil.
