Guadalajara, capital of the State of Jaliscois the city better connected of Mexico above CDMX and Monterrey, according to a report by Ookla(the platform behind Speedtest), an eLeading company in comprehensive business solutions and speed measurement of wireless internet networks fixed or mobile.
This report reflects in general terms the importance of having adequate infrastructure that allows people to connect in a better way, which, as in the case of Jalisco, proves that the innovation, science and technology agenda promoted by Governor Enrique Alfaro allows the State to produce positive results by having the best broadband connectivity and speed when browsing the Internet.
In its most recent publication, Ookla considered that Guadalajara has the best connectivity in Mexico due to the infrastructure it has developed over the last six years in its 125 municipalities.

In this regard, Governor Enrique Alfaro Ramírez highlighted that, given the federation’s neglect of important agendas for the country, including science and technology, Jalisco decided to promote the technological agenda through development, training of human capital, and to invest heavily in creating high-impact projects such as RED Jalisco.
“The Global Index Speed Test has just been presented, which measures the quality of the Internet in the main cities of the world, and by the way, I was very angry when previous governments said that Jalisco was the capital of innovation, but when I traveled around the State, or in the city where I lived, I realized, for example, the quality of our Internet. How can we be the capital of innovation if there is no Internet anywhere? The Global Index, the Speed Test, has just rated Guadalajara as the city with the best Internet in all of Mexico, above Mexico City, above Monterrey, and that speaks of the path we laid out and that laid the foundations for what future development will be, because if we have better connectivity, we will be able to continue developing this great commitment to innovation, science and technology, not just in this city, but in every corner of our State,” emphasized the Jalisco governor.
This measurement evaluates the quality of Internet services in terms of speed, connectivity, network stability, continuous connection and population benefited, with Guadalajara, in Jalisco, being the best connected city, occupying first place in the top 10 of cities with the best network services, even above Mexico City or Monterrey.
In the Ookla report, the top 10 cities with the best fixed Internet in Mexico are broken down as follows:

The investments made in the 10 cities evaluated have benefited not only companies, but also residents, who now surf the Internet at a connection speed above the national average.
