The president of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Guadalupe Taddeireported that the process to elect judges, magistrates and ministers will begin next Monday.
He General Council will meet on Monday to establish the first agreements for the organization of the elections derived from the judicial reform.
Taddei said that they will install the Temporary Monitoring Commission to the Judicial Election and will establish the guidelines for preparing the calendar of activities that will culminate with the election day on June 1.
“The General Council will make the declaration of the beginning of the electoral process and the other is for the management areas to begin the work of the electoral geographic framework that will be occupied and that will be the base, and secondly, all the calendar of activities”.

He said that the INE will have to organize a different election and it will not be by electoral districts, but rather the areas of assignment of the judges.
The challenge, he said, is that the judicial election is carried out with the same standards of reliability and quality as the last one. federal election.
He acknowledged that there are many operational difficulties, but “that is what we are working on, that is what the technical areas are for and the “complexity is that, because we are starting from scratch, we are setting the rules of the game, there are no secondary laws, political parties are not participating.”
