Interim Prohibition of Meeting of the General Body of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce: ICC Order

Chennai: Kishore Kumar, a member of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, has filed a petition in the High Court alleging that the election for the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce last January was not conducted in accordance with the relevant rules. Members from the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka were required to cast their votes in the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce elections.

A general body meeting has been convened with members who are said to have won the election if the election is not conducted properly. He, therefore, demanded that the General Assembly should be barred from holding the meeting. Judge Velmurugan, hearing the petition, ordered a ban on the 77th Annual General Meeting of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.
