BOLZANO. Over 2,000 people showed up today at the Open Day at the hubs of the South Tyrolean Health Authority to be immunised against the virus. Spring-summer meningoencephalitis (TBE)caused by the bite of a tick.

The morning was dedicated solely to those who had to undergo the second dose, while the afternoon was dedicated to the first inoculations and further boosters. Four vaccination hubs were made available to citizens: the New Clinic of the Bolzano Hospital, the sampling points of the Merano and Brunico hospitals and the entrance to Building C of the Bressanone Hospital.

The turnout – as stated in a note – was very positive, proving the great interest in the prevention initiative organized by the Alto Adige Health Authority. A total of 200 people showed up at Open day 2 2,088 peopleincluding those who received an appointment for the second dose as early as Friday, September 20, and those who underwent additional boosters following the second dose.

In detail, they were inoculated 784 first doses. The second doses were 1,304. People who have had their first vaccination will be contacted directly by the Health Authority for an appointment for the booster.
