Directed by Sidharta Tata and Fajar Martha Santosa, the series is ready to offer a viewing experience like never before.
Because, the Red Zone will take the audience into an apocalyptic world full of tension and endless adrenaline.
Zona Merah, produced by Screenplay Films, presents talented actors from across generations such as Aghniny Haque, Andri Mashadi, Lukman Sardi, Devano Danendra, Maria Theodore, Ruth Marini, Ratna Riantiarno.
“Zona Merah is a new leap in my creativity as a director and writer. Together with my colleague, Fajar Martha Santosa and friends from Penakawan, we worked on a story inspired by a true story about structured crimes from a group of elites, which was then combined with an urban legend story,” said Sidharta Tata.
“If so far I have experience working on action and horror genre films or series, now I combine them into a more complex thriller with a more gripping power with the appearance of ‘living corpses,” he added.
Why is it called Mayit not zombie? Fajar Martha Santosa revealed that in the process of working with the Creator & Story development teams, they enjoyed imagining including things with local context.
“Because we also want to have our own ‘zombie’, we chose a name that is widely known by the Indonesian community, which is corpse,” explained Fajar.
