Jadue said that “I want to value the ruling of the Court of Appeals of Santiago, which has ratified, once again, the significant weakening of the theory of the case that the prosecution has tried to impose against me.”

Daniel Jadue, former mayor of Recoleta, highlighted the decision of the Court of Appeals to reject the request of the Prosecutor’s Office to reverse his house arrest and returned to preventive detention, accusing a lack of objectivity in the investigation against him.

In a statement posted to their social networks, The communist militant pointed out that “I want to value the ruling of the Court of Appeals of Santiago that has confirmed, once again, the significant weakening of the theory of the case that the prosecution has attempted to impose against me.”

“We have made significant progress in demonstrating both the animosity and the conflict of interest that my persecutors have, as well as the lack of the principle of objectivity in the conduct of the investigation that is enshrined in the law and that the prosecution has ignored,” argued Daniel Jadue.

For Jadue, the position of the Court of Appeals to ratify house arrest, rejecting the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the State Defense Council and the private plaintiffs, is “Another step to confirm what I have been saying since day one: my absolute innocence!”

Former Mayor Daniel Jadue Jadue is accused of tax fraud, swindling, bribery, unfair administration and concealment of assets, in the context of the so-called Farmacias Populares Case.
