The Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Celarg (Venezuela), the Casa de Las Américas (Cuba) and the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity invites to the international essay competition Fascism, neo-fascism and other expressions of their model. from the following
1.-Writers may participate without nationality restriction, with fully authored, original, unpublished essays and in Spanish, which specifically address reflection, analysis or research on fascism, neo-fascism and other similar expressions. These works cannot be submitted to a competition or other academic process that restricts their publication. Works by more than one author will be accepted.
2.-Participating works will be accepted from the publication of these rules until November 30, 2024, and will only be sent to the email: [email protected]
3.-In two independent attached files, you will find: File A): The work with a minimum extension of 10 pages and a maximum of 30; 1.5 space, in Times New Roman font, size 12 points, in PDF format, signed under a pseudonym or slogan. File B): Essay name, pseudonym, and author information (full name, place of birth, residential address, telephone number, email address and brief biographical summary).
4.—A prize will be awarded with a certificate together with the following in cash: one thousand US dollars, plus publication. The jury may determine honorable mentions for the essays which, according to the verdict, are worthy of being revealed in the aforementioned publication.
5.—A jury will be established whose members will be announced in a timely manner. The ruling will be final.
6.—The verdict of this competition will be published through the media accounts and digital networks of the commemorative institutions.
7.—What is not provided for in this call will be resolved at the discretion of the jury and the organizing team. Participation in this competition means knowledge and acceptance of the rules.
