For a few days now, YouTube Premium users in some countries have been receiving an email informing them of a price increase for the service. Among these there is also Italy.

Confirmation of the Italian price can be found by visiting the subscription pagewhere you learn that YouTube Premium Individual subscription has gone from 11.99 euros to 13.99 euroswhile the Family subscription has skyrocketed from 17.99 euros to 25.99 euros.
This is an increase of over 16% for individual subscriptions and over 44% for family subscriptions.
In the email, YouTube explains the increase as follows: “To continue to offer great service and features, we are increasing your price to [cifra in euro] per month. We don’t make these decisions lightly, but this update will allow us to continue improving Premium and supporting the creators and artists you watch on YouTube.“.
Other countries where the new price list has been reported are: Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Czech Republic, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Colombia, Thailand.
