/ Al-Ahly SC of Egypt lost to Fluminense of Brazil (0-2) on Monday evening, failing to reach the final match of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, which is being held in Saudi Arabia.

The two goals for the Brazilian team were scored by players John Arias and John Kennedy in the 71st minute from a penalty kick and the 90th minute, respectively, of the match that took place on Monday evening at King Abdullah Sports City (the Shining Jewel Stadium) in Jeddah.

Fluminense, who started their participation in the 2023 Club World Cup directly from the semi-finals, will meet the winner of the match between English club Manchester City, the European Champions League champion, and Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds, the Asian Champions League champion.

Al-Ahly will be content to compete for third place against the losing team in the other semi-final match of the World Cup.
